It's hard to believe that the Audi R8, called a full seven
years ago. Since that time, the automaker the two-seater sports car has fresh
with a number of changes including the addition of the homeless Spyder, an
optional V10 and the sportier GT model, but now Audi determined that it finally
time for the first model fully -Update. Today, Audi is presenting the new 2013
R8 lineup changes through subtle styling, holds a seven-speed S-tronic transmission
(no more terrible R-tronic!) And a new V10 flagship model highlighted Plus. It
takes a keen eye to pick out the changes in the design of the new R8, are the
most prominent of the new LED headlights and taillights, which are standard on
all models. Audi has also redesigned the front bumper and grille, and out back,
there is a larger diffuser and the new round tailpipes.
Perhaps the biggest change to the R8 for 2013 is the
addition of the new seven-speed S-tronic transmission with two plate clutches.
Each connection is by two independent sub-transmission and gears alternately
selecting, resulting in a smoother layers, which covers only a few hundredths
of seconds. Fortunately, there is a six-speed manual transmission offered,
although Audi claims the car is equipped with the S tronic actually quicker to
60 mph by three tenths of a second in all models.
A new R8 V10 Plus is used with the top model with the same
carbon fiber-reinforced plastic on the R8 GT. The front splitter, exterior
mirror, side blades, rear diffuser and the engine compartment lining all made
from lightweight material. The 5.2-liter V10 is also light weight compared to
the Standard Model V10 improves, produces 550 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of
torque. European models will roll the tape at the end of this year, and while
the Audi has not indicated U.S.
availability or pricing, we expect our version of the R8 for a very short time
later.
