If you are looking for a phrase to capture the excitement of a new flagship sedan, "patent application" is not likely. On the other hand, the 2014 Acura RLX is the replacement for the Acura RL, the least interesting of existing luxury sedan. (And yes, we belong to Lincoln in this assessment.)
Car and Driver
says that these images are drawn from a European patent database, claiming that
in fact the new RLX, which will go on sale next year. The car shown in these
pictures adheres very closely with the RLX-concept shown at New York Auto Show
this year with only minor changes in the front and rear bumpers and wheels more
generic. The line side of the top of the mudguard, there is again rearwardly
extending, than the rest of the mold.
Between bashing
Acura for its dull design, C & D speculated that the Honda luxury brand RLX
production may show at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
