Later that weekend, making the production version of the
Nissan Juke Nismo will make its debut in the Le Mans 24 Hours alongside the
Nissan delta wing and the Juke-R. While Nismo is primarily known for offering a
more hardcore performance version of Nissan, do not expect much from the Juke
Nismo.
The power still comes from a 1.6-liter direct-injection
turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine, but the Nismo engineers updated the
Juke with a stiffer chassis with new control adjustments for a more direct handling
and enhanced traction control. The Nissan Juke Nismo comes with a
torque-vectoring available, a technology that provides better grip and
cornering ability.
Looks wise, the Nissan Juke Nismo gets a new lower front and
rear bumpers, side skirts and larger wing side skirts, a custom grille and a
new rear spoiler that control air flow. It also gets 18-inch alloy wheels with
wide tires. The interior gets a few sporty upgrades including new pedals,
gauges, shift knob, steering wheel and finish. European sales of the Nissan Juke
Nismo beginning January 2013.
