Over in Europe, Audi has
been carefully tested a number of new electric-vehicle projects, including
their latest concept A2 with an all-electric drive. Reporters from car magazine
in the UK has learned that Audi A2 electric car project, decided to cancel as a
result of the model estimated retail price of 40,000 € in size.
To add they also found that the A1 e-tron has been canceled
as the Ingolstadt
brand wants to shrink its EV future prospects. The A2-concept debuted in 2011,
a completely electric drivetrain, the over 114HP and 199 Nm of torque is
generated moves, and is 125 miles, driving before a recharge is. Conceptually,
was the concept A2 Audi's answer to BMW i3 new city car and was scheduled for release in
2015.
Although interesting, the reasons why is Audi canceling the
project due to the fact that the brand lost faith in the idea of such a niche
in the market for existing, especially in view of the expected price range. To
continue to have this, Car Magazine also noted that the UK Government provides
a £ 5,000 boost for the mass market EVs, but the question for them is
"disappointingly low in Europe." As
a result, Audi saw this and changed their plans for future eV.
