2013 Ford Focus ST

To say that we will be eager to the 2013 Ford Focus ST to go, one of the understatements of the year. After many pictures and videos, we can not wait to get new hot hatch from Ford to get on the road, and now we have a pretty good idea what kind of acoustic stimulation turbo-focus is when we throw them over. Ford understands that a good engine and exhaust note an important part of the overall performance of a car is the experience and says the automaker has some interesting technology with a Focus ST implemented.

Engineers have a special sound tube - called symposer sound - the ST, which specifically enhances the throat, low-end frequencies of the exhaust. This snake has been used before (on the Mustang and the Mazda MX-5 Miata), but here in the Focus ST, there is an electronically controlled valve opens and closes in response to specific input from the driver. What is more, mapped this valve in the lower gears for great sound when accelerating aggressively, but will be closed more often in higher gears provide smoother ride on the highway. But enough of the technical mumbo jumbo. Click the play button to hear what sounds like the end result in an acceleration run in the Focus ST.
