2014 Chevrolet Impala

General Motors today announced a number of details about the security of the upcoming 2014 Chevrolet Impala. The 2014 Chevrolet Impala will start in showrooms in early 2013. The 2014 Chevrolet Impala is equipped with a 2.4-liter Ecotec engine is working with eAssist. The engine produces 182-hp with a maximum torque of 172 lb-ft. Coupled with a 6-speed automatic, the 2.4-liter-powered Impala estimated at 35 mpg highway to reach. Other engine options are a 2.5-liter Ecotec 4-cylinder making 195-hp and 187 lb-ft of torque or a 3.6-liter V6 makes 306-hp and 264 lb-ft of torque. All engines are coupled with 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2014 Chevrolet Impala in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels are offered.

Here, the active safety features are developed on the Impala, 2014, drivers to avoid crashes:

* Full speed range adaptive cruise control - Radar technology senses and adjusts the Impala forward speed of a full set of full acceleration. It is the first application in a Chevrolet.
* Collision Mitigation Braking - Chevy Another first: Radar technology detects a potential threat to crash and warns the driver. If the driver does not seem to react quickly enough or did not respond for this function to intervene on the brakes in an attempt to avoid the crash.
* Forward Collision Alert - camera technology detects a potential threat to crash and warns the driver visually and acoustically, what to stop him or her time and / or change course. If an error occurs, the Impala is equipped with OnStar, and a specially trained advisor connected with the vehicle. If the director requests help or can not answer, the workers are sent to the exact GPS position.
* Lane Departure Warning - A camera-based lane detection system recognizes lane markings and provides audible warnings in the event of an unintentional lane change. * Side Blind Zone Alert - Using radar sensors on both sides of the vehicle, the system “sees” the other vehicles in the dead zone areas of the Impala and gives their presence with LED-lit icons on the mirror.
* Rear Cross Traffic Alert - on the radar sensors on the side blind zone alert Based warns the driver of vehicles in traffic when backing out of a parking space - including angled parking. Visual and audible alarms are activated when vehicles are detected.
* Rear view camera with dynamic guidelines - with a display in the center console provides infotainment system, the camera has a view of objects directly behind the Impala, while offering the policies that will help light a dynamic reference to parking and other maneuvers.
* Rear parking sensors - makes use of sensors in the rear bumper detect objects behind the vehicle and warns the driver.
* Brake Pre-Fill function - Chevy Another first: Radar technology detects a potential threat to a system crash and the hydraulic pressure in the brake lines, expects a driver brakes hard. This speeds up the response time and shortens the braking distance (included with 20-inch wheels on uplevel models).
* To roll on hills, the brakes for about 1.5 seconds for the car stop when the driver moves his foot from the brake to the accelerator - * Hill Hold / start.
