FoMoCo has confirmed that all three engine offerings for the 2013 Ford Escape on the EPA 30 mpg or more are certified to get to the highway. The three 2013 Ford Escape motors are as follows (city / highway) EPA estimates:
* 1.6-liter EcoBoost (178 hp and 184
lb-ft of torque), 23/33 mpg.
* 2.0-liter EcoBoost (240 hp and 270
lb-ft of torque), 22/30 mpg.
* 2.5-liter IVCT (168 hp and 170 lb-ft
of torque), 22/31 mpg.
Power
for the base 2013 Ford Escape S comes from a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder makes
168 hp and 170 lb-ft of torque. Jump on the 2013 Ford Escape SE, which starts
at $ 25,070 comes from the current 1.6-liter EcoBoost making 178-hp and 184
lb-ft of torque. The top-of-the-line $ 30,370 Ford Escape Titanium gets the 2.0-liter
EcoBoost 4-cylinder standard, so that the 240-hp and 270 lb-ft of torque.
