Aston Martin Lagonda Concept

Car manufacturers are usually quite decisive. Or they build a car or do not do it. But Aston Martin Lagonda is a bumpy road has started. Aston bought the Lagonda brand way back in 1947, but after using it as a separate brand for a few years, and then please let Peter Mark in the 1950s and 60s. The name was a label on a handful of sedans Aston Martin revived beginning in the 1970s, but that was pretty much the last we saw of him until the Geneva Auto Motorshow 2009.

That's when the British car manufacturer rather unusual concept car (pictured above) to reveal the name Lagonda revived as a brand is. It aimed to test the water, and the reactions were not favorable. It seemed to fall that the AML L, his initials and the whole project, can be with him. But as stand-alone niche automakers are looking to stay afloat in a fast aggregation of the industry, Aston should produce more than the front engine, rear-drive two-door GT. And the Rapide sedan is apparently not enough, it seems that the Lagonda project back on the table.

According to Autocar, the real momentum, but can be drawn from the emerging markets in Asia - particularly China but also in the Middle East and Russia. The time for a high-end luxury crossover from a company for its exotic sports cars built known, but could be as good or bad timing are: Maserati, Lamborghini and Bentley are all in the segment in the coming years so that, if Aston wants a piece of this lucrative pie to get developed by Porsche, it had better be these wheels in motion.
