2013 Audi SQ5 TDI

Audi is using the 24 Hours of Le Mans as a launching pad for its latest performance machine. Based on the Q5 crossover platform, the (long rumored) SQ5 313 hp and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo 3.0-liter diesel engine for its considerable weight to 60 miles per hour moving in only five seconds. The top speed is 155 miles per hour, limited, we believe, and, as importantly, on the European cycle fuel consumption of 7.2 liters per 100 kilometers (32.67 miles per U.S. gallon) stock exchanges. In memory of the people that this is no ordinary oil burner Audi has a so-called sound-drive - a speaker, the press release - to exhaust sounds pumping in the atmosphere in the interior.

An eight-speed tiptronic transmission sends all the torque to all four 20-inch tires size 255/45 rubber. The body is lowered 1.18 inches closer to the tarmac is optional for better handling and Audi dynamic steering system. Exterior updates are limited to the wheels, a sportier fascia treatment and aluminum-look mirror. Inside, expect extras such as leather and Alcantara sport seats, a new steering wheel design and a series of S badge. This is the first diesel-powered Audi S model, which means that the company has been late to join fellow German automaker BMW in the torque-filled power means for European buyers. Prices start at € 58.500 for the inhabitants of the pond, and will begin shipping to begin in the first part of 2013. We do not expect them to come to see in the States.
